GEM Mortgage Realizes Benefits with Advectis BlitzDocs® Solution
Results include added efficiencies, savings and greater customer service
ATLANTA, April 27, 2005 – Advectis, Inc., provider of the most
widely used solution for electronic mortgage
document collaboration, announced GEM Mortgage,
a division of Golden Empire Mortgage, Inc.,
has realized significant benefits in workflow
efficiency, operational expenses and customer
service levels from the use of BlitzDocs
Enterprise for electronic loan package
submission. GEM Mortgage is a mortgage banker with
approximately 40 retail branches in California,
Washington, Arizona and Nevada.
BlitzDocs Enterprise, a Web-based solution
by Advectis, provides a Collaborative Electronic Document Platform
for all participants in the mortgage industry to capture, submit,
organize, underwrite, audit, share and archive loan documents electronically
using the BlitzDocs collaborative electronic loan folder, e-folder.
GEM Mortgage originally needed a solution
to address an internal storage space problem. The BlitzDocs solution
was selected for its ability to provide value beyond basic storage
capabilities, such as electronic collaboration in paperless underwriting
and closing. Results directly attributable to the BlitzDocs implementation
include increased workflow efficiencies at the branch level. The paperless
platform has reduced turnaround time, enabled resources and staff
to be redeployed and reduced copy machine expenses.
“BlitzDocs Enterprise supports a front-to-back-end
workflow which integrates with our existing
systems to enhance our processes and impact our bottom line,” said
Rebecca Wegman, executive vice president and chief operating officer
of GEM Mortgage. “Our
branches have immediate access to the files
electronically, which scores a tremendous advantage in time savings
and enables us to provide
a higher level of customer service to our
clients.”
“The BlitzDocs platform enables GEM Mortgage
and other authorized parties in the mortgage
industry to simultaneously access and view mortgage documents over
the Web in real time, thereby
increasing productivity,” said Greg Smith, president and chief
executive officer of Advectis.
